Algeria defeated Senegal with a slim scoreline of 1-0 to win the AFCON tournament in Egypt, as the Desert Foxes win the tournament after 29 years.It took just two minutes for Baghdad Bounedjah to break the deadlock through his effort took a slight deflection to beat Senegalese goalkeeper who left his line. Senegal kept pushing for the equalizer but Algeria remained determined to lock up the defense. The Senegalese came close in the last minute of the first half after a good combination. the Algerians were more defensive in the first half. Niang was presented with a scoring chance but his effort went narrowly over the cross-bar.
