Spanish captain Sergio Ramos has attained another milestone in his career after scoring the opener in Spain win over Romania in the Euro 2020 qualifying group F on Thursday night at the Arena Nationala in Bucharest.

With the goal Ramos has now surpassed Telmo Zarra by scoring his 21st goal for the La Furia Roja, he has climbed to the top 10 by surpassing Telmo Zarra who scored 20 goals for the Spanish national team.

Ramos is on the level with Michel and two goals shy of Alfredo Di Stefano who scored 23 goals for Spain, the defender is the highest goal for Russia since the end of 2018 World Cup in Russia as there hasn't been a single Spanish player who has scored more international goals than Ramos.

Also, Ramos is close to equal Iker Casillas’ appearances for Spain having played 166th games for Spain with just one behind Casillas’ 167 appearances. the Real Madrid defender has a chance to equal Casillas' record when they take on the Faroe Islands on Monday and move ahead if he plays against Norway on Thursday.
