The 2016/17 Serie A season witnessed its 32nd match day over the weekend and with just eight match days left to the end of the season, results mean more to teams now more than ever. Roma 1-1 Atalanta

The capital club lost the chance to keep up the chase with Juventus for the Serie title, with this result more or less killing whatever hopes they had of winning the title. And to imagine they had to come from behind to earn this point and unless Juventus tragically loses their eight point advantage, Roma should now firmly concentrate on finishing second.

Napoli 3-0 Udinese

The Naples club closed the gap on Roma to two points after the Giallorossi drew, with this impressive win over Udinese. Although, it is almost impossible for them to win the title now, but they know they are in with a chance of finishing second behind champions-elect, Juventus.

Inter 2-2 Milan

The Milan derby ended in a stalemate, but both sides all but confirmed to miss out on the Champions League places once more. Credit to Milan, who scored twice in the second half to level after Inter had taken a two-goal lead in the first half. They are seventh and sixth respectively, with just two points separating them, but 14 and 12 points off the last Champions League place respectively.

Pescara 0-2 Juventus

The Old Lady all but confirmed their place as champions of yet another Serie A title with this win at Pescara. And with Roma failing to win, they have extended their lead to eight points with only eight goals left to play. Gonzalo Higuain’s brace was enough to see them through.
