AS Roma players celebrate after scoring a goal. They are now one point adrift of Juventus at the top of the table.

It was an interesting weekend in Serie A, as Juventus’ lead at the top of the table was reduced to just one point, as the race for who wins the 2016/2017 Scudetto continues.

Following their loss, Juventus now run the risk of losing the title they have won for the last four seasons, even though they are still top with a game in hand.

Fiorentina 2-1 Juventus

The Old Lady suffered a rare loss in Serie A, after initially going two goals down. However, Gonzalo Higuain scored within four minutes of Fiorentina’s second, and would have expected to at least pick a point, but it wasn’t to be as Fiorentina held on for a win.

Napoli 3-1 Pescara

The Naples club continued their resurgence after a blip, and are now within four points of leaders Juventus with this win. However, they still have AS Roma ahead of them in second.

Udinese 0-1 Roma

Roma continued to pile the pressure on Juventus, and have now come within one point of the Old Lady with this victory. Radja Naingollan was the hero for the capital club as they get ever closer to Juve on the table.

Inter 3-1 Chievo

The Nerazzurri continued their climb up the Serie A table, after a poor start and are now sixth on the log, with this victory over Chievo. They are now equal on points with city rivals Milan, even though the Rossonerri have two more games in hand.
