Serie A entered its sixth match day over the weekend, and Napoli aren’t looking like slowing down as another win means they remain top of the table, even though champions Juventus are level on points with them on second.

The biggest surprise of the weekend has to be AC Milan, who lost for the second time in the three games, with the likes of Napoli, Juve and Inter peeling away from them.

We take a look at how it all went down in Italy’s top flight league at the weekend.

Sampdoria 2-0 Milan

With the money spent during the summer transfer window, it remains to be seen if this is what the fans and owners of the club would have expected. The pressure is gradually piling up on coach Vicenzo Montella as Milan sit on sixth position.

Inter 1-0 Genoa

The Nerrazzurri beat 10-man Genoa as they continued their impressive start to the season as the win sees them up to third on the table and only two points adrift of leaders Juventus and Napoli. Luciano Spalletti looks to have gotten them on to a new level.

Juventus 4-0 Torino

The Old Lady thrashed Torino in the Turin derby to make yet another statement of their intent to retain the Serie A title. Paulo Dybala scored a brace, with Miralem Pjanic and Alex Sandro getting the other goals as they stayed close to Napoli at the top of the table.

Spal 2-3 Napoli

Mauricio Sarri is working wonders with Napoli, as this win ensured they remained top of the table, even if only on goals difference. The Naples-based club went behind initially, but goals from Lorenzo Insigne, Jose Callejon and Faouzi Ghoulam ensured they got maximum points.

Roma 3-1 Udinese

The capital club got the job done early as first half goals by Edin Dzeko and brace by Stephan El-Shaarawy set them on the path to victory. A late Udinese goal was nothing but a consolation in the end.
