Bally is yet to kick a ball since he suffered knee ligament damage in the pre-season against Tottenham in China.
Solskjaer reveals that the defender played in the reserve game against Newcastle with the reserve team on Friday and he could play on Tuesday against Liverpool at the Anfield.
'He's very close,' said the United boss. 'He might be back for the weekend. We've got a game arranged today for the reserves. Hopefully, he will get 90 minutes so he might be ready for Liverpool.'
