La Liga By: Iseghohi Odianosen | 22/10/2019

The Spanish Football Federation’s (RFEF) Competition Committee is yet to determine the date for the upcoming match between Barcelona and Real Madrid.

Barcelona and Real Madrid directors have agreed on Wednesday, December 18th for the clash but the RFEF does not want the La Liga to be played in midweek because LaLiga doesn't find it compatible because the Copa del Rey is due to be played that day.

Barcelona and Real Madrid need to sit again to decide a date by 20:00 CEST on Tuesday. The Competition Committee will then meet again and review the proposals.

The match was supposed to be played 26th of December at Camp Nou but was postponed due to the ongoing political and social crisis in Catalonia.

The Competition Committee has asked the RFEF to verify whether the Clasico would be allowed to be played on December 18.
