Super Eagles have been drawn in Group L in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers alongside Benin Republic, Sierra Leone, and Lesotho.

The draw ceremony took place on Thursday evening in Cairo, with African football icons like Nwankwo Kanu, Samuel Eto’o, Khalilou Fadiga, Geremi Njitap, El Hadji Diouf and Jose Clayton in attendance.

The 48 teams were drawn into 12 groups of four teams, in addition to the four winners of the preliminary round and the qualifying matches for the tournament which is scheduled for Cameroon will kick off September 2019.

Nigeria will kick start the qualifiers at home against 2019 quarterfinalist Benin Republic, before matches against West African neighbors Sierra Leone and tiny east African side Lesotho follows.
