Super Eagles forward join Drogba's former club

Super Eagles forward Henry Onyekuru has finally joined Didier Drogba's former club Galatasaray on a season-long loan from Everton.

The 21-year-old switch to Premier League outfit last summer from Belgian side, Eupen but spent the season on loan at another Jupiler team Anderlecht.

Onyekuru notched in nine goals in 19 league appearances and 10 goals in 28 games in all competitions but has insisted he will not return to the Belgian club after some open rows.

The Turkish giants make the announced the arrival of Nigeria international via their Twitter handle by welcoming him to the club as he joins his new teammate in pre-season training camp in Switzerland.

Onyekuru wrote on his Twitter handle he said: "Turkey’s largest team we will start with this trip very happy! I will do my best to make it a success. Thank you for this opportunity provided to me. 🙏.

Galatasaray will be featuring in the 2018-19 UEFA Champions League season.
