Ike Ugbo blasted a hat-trick for Chelsea against Tottenham to help them progress to the final of the FA Youth Cup.
Chelsea youth striker of Nigerian descent, Ike Ugbo underlined his immense potential with a hat-trick for the Blues’ U18s as they breezed past Tottenham U18s 7-1 and 9-2 n aggregate into the FA Youth Cup final.
The England youth international, who is eligible for Nigeria, opened his account as early as the fourth minute, when he converted a Reece James cross to give Chelsea the lead, in a game which saw them progress to the final of the competition for the sixth straight year.Read also: Rooney loses England captaincy, see the man to replace him
But Tottenham did not fold their hands to watch the Blues take all the shine in the early part, as twice in the opening 15 minutes, they also had their chances with Reo Griffiths but twice they spurned the opportunities.
However, those misses would prove fatal, as Chelsea took the initiative from there, with Ugbo playing a massive role in that happening.
Soon after, a cross fell to Chalobah, he needed little in the way of invitation to slam it into the back of the Spurs net to give Chelsea a two-goal lead on the night.
Chelsea's Dujon Sterling was soon felled in the box after coming in from the right in the 36th minute and Ugbo converted the spot kick. Ugbo then found the back of the net later, to complete his hat-trick.
