Indeed, it was a Nigerian show for Gent as three Nigerians; Anderson Esiti, William Troost-Ekong and new signing Samuel Kalu all started while Rabiu Ibrahim and Moses Simon came off from the bench.
Kalu opened his goal scoring account for his team in the rampant first half display which ended 3-0 in favour of the Belgian Europa League campaigners.
Simon came into the game as one among many substitutes introduced by the manager after the break, and immediately made his presence felt by netting his first but the fourth goal for Gent to take scores to 5-0.
He added two more goals in the 63rd and 70th minute to complete his hat-trick, in what is his first winter camp friendly game.
