Super Eagles star suspended without pay

Enyimba Football club have confirmed the suspension of out of favour Super Eagles star Christian Obiozor indefinitely.

Recall, Premier Soccer League (PSL) giants Orlando Pirates back in July announced the signing of Nigerian after being linked with with PSL sides Bidvest Wits, Chippa United and Mamelodi Sundowns.

The two times CAF Champions League winners in an official statement made available to said: "Enyimba Football Club have suspended striker Christian Obiozor indefinitely and without pay until further notice.

"The suspension takes effect immediately. The decision to suspend the player is in light of his gross indiscipline and violation of the club's code of conduct, which has seen him fail to report to the team's pre-season camp in Ado-Ekiti.

"A notice of this suspension has been submitted to the League Management Company."

In January 2014, late coach Stephen Keshi, invited Obiozor to be a part of the Nigeria national football team squad for the 2014 African Nations Championship. He helped the team to a third-place finish after Nigeria beat Zimbabwe by a lone goal in the final.
