Super Eagles target set for UCL debut for new club

Super Eagles target Chuba Akpom is set to make his first-ever UEFA Champions League appearance on Wednesday evening for new club PAOK Thessaloníki.

The 22-year-old former Arsenal striker has been included on PAOK 18-man roster against Russia Premier League outfit Spartak Moscow.

Akpom was named in the matchday squad in Champions League for the fourth time in his career with three in with Gunners against Turkish giant Galatasaray, French club Marseille and Greek side Olympiakos Piraeus.

The Hale End Academy product hopeful has declared himself fit to face Spartak Moscow after training with his new club PAOK for three straight days as he tweets via his Twitter handle.

Akpom pen a three-year contract with PAOK last week and ended his 16-year spell with Alex Iwobi and Arsenal in the process.
