La Liga president Javier Tebas has issued warnings to Barcelona ahead of the Copa Del Rey clash against Sevilla on the 21st of April at the Wanda Metropolitano Stadium.

Tebas called for sanctions if the Spanish national anthem is whistled by the Catalonia outfit in the Copa Del Rey final.

Barcelona has been a regular time in the Copa Del Rey finals and in four years they have gotten to four finals and they have also whistled the national anthem during those finals games.

With some Barcelona fans so against the idea of the Spanish anthem being played before the match, they have taken to whistling it and LaLiga president Tebas is one of many who has been angered by this.

Tebas is of the view that should this happen again when the Catalan outfit face Sevilla at the Wanda Metropolitano on April 21 in the final, drastic measures will be meted out, even that of enforcing the controversial Article 155 which recently saw Spain seize back Catalonia's political autonomy.

"I don't know if there are economic sanctions," Tebas told

"It's the Copa del Rey, not LaLiga.

"I have always stated that there should be sanctions, even to the point of suspending a match.

"But there's no legislation on that and I cannot change it, it is what it is.

"I wouldn't say that it's predictable that there will be whistles because to say it's predictable makes an act one of good will.

"It will have to change soon.

"Article 115 will have to be applied on the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano."
