Throwback Thursday: Henry returns home to rescue Arsenal - FCNaija

Thierry Henry made a return to Emirate to help troubled Arsenal to put their season back into shape after a poor start to the campaign to the 2011/12 season.

Henry was the all-time leading scorer for Gunners scoring a total of 226 goals an accolade he achieved during the eight seasons he spent at the London based club, the French man made a total of 369 appearances and won two Premier League titles and FA Cups and was part of the undefeated "Invincibles" who went 49 unbeaten runs in the Premier League.

Henry left Barcelona where he added the Champions League, La Liga and the Copa Del Rey to his gallery of Silverware.

Arsenal found it difficult to adapt to life without Henry and they struggled to in various competitions most especially in 2011/12 season having fallen out of Champions League spot, they turned to Henry, who had by then moved to New York Red Bulls for a lift.

Henry returned to Emirate for just two months and helped the gunners to reshape their season before he returned to the MLS to reunite with his club New York Red Bulls.
