TOT 3-1 LEI: Ndidi & Co fall to Spurs at Wembley

Tottenham Hotspur defeated Leicester City 3-1 at Wembley in the Premier League on Sunday to maintain the margin in the race to win the league title.

Tottenham Hotspur put up a sluggish against Leicester City in the opening 32 minutes that saw both sides squandered opportunities that could have put any of the sides ahead.

Tottenham Hotspur got the better side of the Foxes when Davison Sanchez powerful header found the top angle of the net in the 33rd minutes at the Wembley Stadium.

Both teams played end to end attacking football but lacked the cutting edge as both teams looked far from their usual self in the attack.

The first half ended in favour of Spurs with Sanchez scoring his first goal in 66th appearances for the home team.

Leicester City pushed for an equaliser in the second half as they looked sharper than Spurs in opening 15 minutes of the second half.

Jamie Vardy was introduced in the 59th minute and he was immediately matched to take the penalty kick that was won before his introduction and Hugo Lloris saved the spot kick.

Christian Ericksen scored the second goal in the 63rd minute as the second half had more thrills than the first half. Vardy scored the for Leicester in the 76th minutes.

Son scored the third goal in the stoppage time to give Spurs huge margin.

Leicester City suffered a 3-1 defeat against Spurs after 90 minutes.
