Tottenham Hotspurs hammer league one outfit AFC Wimbledon 3-0 at Wembley in FA Cup third round on Sunday evening to through to the next phase of the competition thanks to two Harry Kane goals and a screamer from Jan Vertonghen.

Wimbledon deserves great credit for how they defended for the opening hour.

Victor Wanyama attempts the first shot of the afternoon but it's high and wide.

The League one side conceding more than 80% of possession in the first half, Neal Ardley's men came closest to opening the scoring when Jimmy Abdou's strike was pushed on to the crossbar by Spurs keeper Michel Vorm.

The England international poked in from close range in the 63rd minute before sweeping home another after Spurs had been frustrated by the League One strugglers.

Defender Jan Vertonghen made it 3-0 in the 71st minute with a deflected long-range strike for his first goal since October 2013.

Tottenham are calling for a penalty as Nkoudou goes down having sped past Dons captain Barry Fuller, but the referee gives a corner instead.
