Tottenham Hotspur director Daniel Levy has opened talks with Real Madrid for the possibility to sign Los Blancos forward.

Gareth Bale is tipped for a return to Tottenham Hotspur and Levy has contacted the Real Madrid president Florentino Perez for the prospect of bringing back the Welsh attacker to London.

However, the Spurs chairman hasn't dropped his plans and returned to Florentino with a new proposal.

Levy is ready to take Bale on-loan next season - if Real Madrid agree to cover a majority of his salary. The option could be welcomed by Florentino should new coach Zinedine Zidane make it clear he doesn't consider the attacker part of his plans.

Bale and Zidane do not get along well during the Frenchman first spell at Real Madrid, the move could be welcomed by both parties.
