Twitter reacted as Manchester United were held to a goalless draw by Sevilla in the first-leg of the UEFA Champions League round-of-16 match.

Before the kickoff, news started making rounds of the possibility of Paul Pogba to be dropped out of the starting 11, amid growing concerns surrounding his allegedly eroding relationship with manager Jose Mourinho.

It finally came to pass as the Frenchman started from the bench with Ander Herrera, Scott McTominay and Nemanja Matic being bestowed with the three midfield slots.

Pogba wasn't destined to be kept out of this match though, as Herrera's injury in the first half saw him come on much earlier than anticipated - Not like he did much about it, though.

The game ended in a goalless draw, a result which has triggered a plethora of reactions on social media, Twitter precisely as fans have taken to the platform to air their views and opinions as regards the game.

The goalless event wasn't Manchester United's best performance and Twitter as expected boiled over.

However, David De Gea was quite clearly the man of the match and was appropriately hailed on the social media platform. Twitter is currently smiling on the Spanish stopper who is trending on the social platform at the moment.

Without further ado, check out the Twitter reactions below:

Notably, praise for De Gea ended where outrage towards the rest of the team began.
