UCL: Ronaldo leads pertition for Bale to be benched for Isco

Cristiano Ronaldo ha reportedly called on Real Madrid head coach Zinedine Zidane to bench injury prone Gareth Bale for Isco in Real Madrid’s Champions League final clash.

Diario Gol say Real Madrid players think Los Blancos would have a better chance of beating Juventus if Bale was left on the bench and Isco drafted into the starting XI.

According to the report, a clutch of Zinedine Zidane’s squad reckon they are better off with Isco in the team.

Pepe, Casemiro and Fabio Coentrao are said to be among the players that think Los Blancos would have a better chance of beating Juventus if Bale was left on the bench. They believe Isco offers more balance, and is in favour having netted a vital goal in the second leg at Vicente Calderon.

Bale is set for a last-ditch fitness test on his torn calf ahead of the June 3 showdown in Cardiff. The Welshman is desperate to face the Italian champions in his hometown.

The 27-year old suffered the injury against Barcelona last month and does not expect to play again in La Liga this season. Bale has missed a mega 27 games this season.

One doc said that he could see Bale’s injuries coming and that his £86million transfer was an ‘error’ on Real’s part.
