UEFA UCL: Ter Stegen opens up on Florenzi's long-range goal

Barcelona goalkeeper Marc-Andre Ter Stegen has opened up on the goal he conceded against Alessandro Florenzi in the Champions League the last time the La Liga outfit visit the Stadio Olimpico in Rome.

Ter Stegen revealed that the superb goal from the centre of the field makes him stronger and improve his sense of awareness.

"That goal made me a little stronger, because of what was said about me, but it did not change me at all," Ter Stegen confessed at the pre-match press conference: "maybe I'm a little more aware of the shots from the centre of the field.

"In football, things happen that you do not expect, like that goal. "

Despite Barcelona's 4-1 advantage, the keeper believes the second leg at the Stadio Olimpico will be a tough task for Lionel Messi and company. 

"We know it will not be an easy game," the German said.

"We are focused on our game, we know we have an advantage and we have to defend it.

"It does not change anything for us, we must have a good game to continue in the Champions League." He told Marca.
