UEL: Ahmed Musa spared Mkhitaryan nightmare in Russia

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed the latest injury update on his January signing from Manchester United Henrikh Mkhitaryan ahead of the North London outfit's Europa League clash against Ahmed Musa's CSKA Moscow on Thursday.

Mkhitaryan was forced off in the second half of Arsenal's Europa League win over CSKA Moscow on Thursday. The Armenian who was a key figure during the first leg has now been ruled of the trip to Russia.

After Sunday’s hard-fought victory over Southampton at the Emirates, Wenger said: "He’s got knee ligament damage.

"He will not be available for Thursday and not for Newcastle and certainly not for the week after, when we play West Ham.

"I think he will miss these games for sure, but he could still play at the end of the season." Wenger told Arsenal Player
