Real Madrid defeated Unionistas de Salamanca 3-1 in the Copa del Rey on Wednesday evening to advance to the next round with Gareth Bale making history for the Spanish giants having broke Ronaldo de Lima's scoring record for the Bernabeu outfit.

It took Bale 18 minutes to find the back of the net and subsequently broke Ronaldo’s record of 104 goals for Real Madrid as he notched his 105th goal against the lower division outfit.

Romero Motillo equalized for the home team in the 57th minute but resilient Real Madrid kept coming and it took just five minutes for Zinedine Zidane’s men to restore the lead after substitute Brahim Diaz forced Gongora to an own goal following a brilliant solo run.

Casemiro once again was the score sheet as he scored a stoppage-time goal to give Real Madrid a comfortable victory.

Real Madrid advanced to the next round in style.

Up next for Real Madrid is the clash against Real Valladolid in the La Liga at the Estadio José Zorrilla.
