Coach of Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side MFM, Fidelis Ilechukwu is not in critical condition, after they were involved in an auto-crash on their way back from a league game with Plateau United, the club has confirmed.Read: Nigerian side involved in car crashThe Lagos-based MFM had played against Plateau and lost 1-0 on Saturday in Jos, and were on their way back to Nigeria’s commercial capital when they were involved in the car crash.
Initial reports had claimed Ilechukwu suffered injuries and was in a critical condition, but the club has debunked that.According to eyewitnesses, the accident occurred at about 5:00pm along Akungba, Owo Road in Ondo State due to a brake failure.
We had a minor road accident on way from Jos along Akungba road in Ondo State this evening. No life was lost, the players and officials of the team are in good condition.
