Real Madrid defender Raphael Varane has taken on the social media to share the image of his shredded knee after the 3-0 defeat to Barcelona at the Santiago Bernabeu in their Copa del Rey clash on Wednesday evening.

Varane scored an own goal when trying to block Ousmane Dembele’s cross and gave Barcelona a two-goal lead and after the game, he shared the image of the bruised knee.

Barcelona forward Luis Suarez and Real Madrid defender Dani Carvajal slid in with Varane to try and meet the cross.

Varane endured a difficult night against the Catalonia based team, Suarez who has broken the deadlock scored another goal via a penalty after Varane’s injury to make it 3-0 and 4-1 on aggregate.
