Patrick Kluivert's son, Justin, scored his first competitive goal for Ajax Amsterdam over the weekend in front of his very elated father.

The 17-year old was making his 11th appearance for the Ajax senior side in the Eredivisie game at Excelsior, when he scored a first half equalizer for the Dutch giants on Sunday afternoon.

The junior Kluivert plays predominately as a right winger, and his goal came exactly 10 years and one day after his father's last in the Eredivisie. It was a chance that the youngster could barely miss.

A low ball in came from the left-hand side from winger Hakim Ziyech and after Chelsea loanee Bertrand Traore missed his initial effort, the ball was perfectly set up for Kluivert to tap in. He delivered a side-footed finish with his right and wheeled off in celebration.

His father, Patrick, was also a product of the famed Ajax academy, which has produced the likes of Johan Cruyff, Frank Rijkaard, Dennis Bergkamp, Frank and Ronald de Boer and Clarence Seedorf.

Kluivert senior went on to become one of the most lethal strikers in the world, also going on to have a successful career at Barcelona, and it remains to be seen if the younger Kluivert will follow in his father’s footsteps.
