Emmanuel Adebayor's nephew Alex Nyako Harlley scored straight from kick-off with an incredible strike for Atlanta Silverbacks against SC United Bantams in US Open Cup.
While his uncle Adebayor who once represented Arsenal, Real Madrid, Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur might be winding down his career with another mega pay packet in Turkey’s top flight with Istanbul Basaksehir at the end of January., Harlley
proved he may have plenty still ahead of him with his screamer for Atlanta Silverbacks.
The 24-year old and his team-mates were facing SC United Bantams in the US Open Cup. And after cruising to a 3-0 lead, Bantams pulled one back with just over ten minutes to go.
A team-mate of the Silverback then slid a pass back to him, and Harlley smashed a stunning effort from inside his own half that flew just under the bar of the keeper.
Meanwhile, Harlley’s uncle has been made an impressive start to life in Turkey. The 33-year old striker is believed to have an 18-month deal for the Turkish club, who have been a surprise package in this season's Super Lig.
Istanbul BB are just two points behind leaders Besiktas with two games left. And Adebayor has helped them maintain their title charge with six goals in eight games. Three of those came in a stunning 4-0 over Turkish powerhouse Galatasaray.
