Super Eagles hopeful Chuba Akpom banged in the fifth goal for PAOK after scoring in the 3-1 win over Olympiakos on Sunday in the Greek Super League at Toumba Stadium.

The 23-year-old striker in a late push to make Nigeria’s squad for AFCON 2019 in Egypt as he also provided an assist, making it three goals and four assists in his last five.

Adelino Vieirinha and Diego Biseswar scored in the first 20 minutes and a late goal Akpom, at an overflowing with passion and excitement Toumba stadium before Daniel Podence scored a consolation goal three minutes from time.

Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has long said that Akpom has a chance to make the squad if he keeps getting regular games at his club, something he is now enjoying in Greece and he could get his first called up three African Champions last qualifiers match with Seychelles and international friendly match with host nation Egypt. 

Akpom joined PAOK last summer after ended his 16-year spell with Alex Iwobi and Arsenal and he could lead the White-Blacks to Greek title after the trouncing of second-placed Olympiakos, moving his club 9 points clear at the top of the log table.
