Watford have sacked Isaac Success coach Javi Garcia and appoint Odion Ighalo former manager Quique Sanchez Flores.

The 49-year-old Spaniard was dismissed as Hornets boss on Saturday after picking one point their first four Premier League games getting axed after overseeing a poor run of results over the month of August.

Chairman Scott Duxbury said on the club official website: "Javi has represented Watford with great dignity and will always be deserving of our fullest respect for his achievements.”

A club statement added: “Everyone at the Hornets wishes Javi and his staff all the very best for the future, and they will always be welcome visitors in the future at Vicarage Road.”

Sánchez Flores returns to Vicarage Road, having guided Watford to a comfortable mid-table finish during the 2015-16 campaign – the club’s first season back in the Premier League and also led Watford to the semi-finals of the FA Cup during his year at the helm.
