What Xavi's refusal to manage Barca means to Camp directors

Al-Sadd coach Xavi Hernandez rejected the opportunity to manage Barcelona, what it implies to the Camp Nou directors.

It took several days Xavi to ponder and make the horrible decision of turning the offer to jump into the wagon to manage a team where he spent the most active time of his playing career.

Xavi, 39, is one of the young managers around though he has not been tested in any European League it is believed that he knows the Barcelona system in and out having gone through the cadre to the senior team and ended up captaining the club to win numerous titles.

The former captain was considering at Barcelona that he is the next candidate for the job but to the surprise of many he rejected the offer and what that implies is as follows:

Xavi is not confident of himself, he can work under pressure and deliver the required result.

Xavi is not prepared for a new challenge as he is comfortable in his comfort zone.

Xavi is aware that Barcelona is built around a certain player, that is Lionel Messi and he knows the Argentine forward has begun to show signs of slowing down.

Xavi knows taking over such a job will bring about the comparison between him and Pep Guardiola, who is one of the most successful managers of the club.

The former Barcelona midfielder is not prepared to take a job at the elite club at this stage of his career.
