Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are no stranger to each other as far as the Champions League is concerned. Though the French outfit is yet to lay their hands on the Europe most Prestigious trophy while Los Blancos have won the tournament on 12 occasions.

Despite the Spanish outfit fine record in the tournament the French Champions still hold a record against the Los Blancos when it comes to head to head comparison.

Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain have met six times in the European tournament (Champions League and Cup Winners Cup) and once in a friendly match (International Champions Cup) making a total of seven times they have met, six of the meeting is competitive while one out of seven is noncompetitive.

The first meeting between Real Madrid and PSG was at the Santiago Bernabeu in 1992/1993 season in the UEFA Cup, Los Blancos won the game with a score line of 3-1 and the return leg which was the second meeting was in Paris it ended 4-1 in favour of Paris Saint-Germain

The third meeting was in 1994/1995 season in the UEFA Cup Winners Cup at the Santiago Bernabeu, PSG was won this tie 1-0 at the Bernabeu and the return ended in 1-1 in Paris which marked their fourth meeting so far.

The pair met again in 2015 Champions’ League group stage in at the Parc des princes the game ended in a 0-0 draw and the reverse of the fixture was in Spain and it ended 1-0 in favour of Real Madrid, that marked their last meeting in a competitive match.

They met again in 2016 but this time it was in a friendly game (pre-season) in international Champions Cup, PSG won this encounter with a 3-1 scoreline.

Therefore, the two teams have met on seven occasions with PSG recording three wins and Real Madrid recording two wins, PSG has lost on two occasions to the La Liga Champions while The Bernabeu outfit has suffered three defeats against the Ligue one leaders.

The defending Champions will be up against PSG once again in the Champions League round of 16 next year in February when the tournament resumes.
