Willian has praised his Chelsea team-mates for the manner in which they started last night’s 4-0 victory over Hull City where he played a starring role as the Blues booked their place in the FA Cup quarter-finals.

Willian fired Chelsea in front inside two minutes and scored his second of the night with a delightful effort which flew into the back of the net via the foot of the post. Pedro and Olivier Giroud were also on target in what was a dominant first-half display by the Blues, and Willian felt his side got what they deserved.

Speaking to the club's website after the game, the delighted Brazilian believes the confidence of the squad is on the rise following their convincing victories in their last two matches, having endured a bad patch in recent times.

"It was a great game, not only by me but the whole team,’ he said. ‘We played really well from the beginning. To be honest, we expected a difficult game but it became easy because of the way we played. We tried to score goals, create chances and we did a great job.

"I think after a difficult moment we’re back to winning games and when you win the confidence goes high. Now we have to carry on." Willian said

Antonio Conte's side who have now scored seven goals in their last two games, without reply head into Tuesday's UEFA Champions League game against the Spanish league leaders Barcelona in fine shape.
