Yaya Toure aims for Barcelona return

Yaya Toure looks set to remain in the Premier League as he is now in talks with West Ham United over a possible deal, reports from England have claimed.

West Ham are now led by former Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini, and the Chilean wants a reunion with Toure after the pair worked together at the Etihad Stadium, and it is reported the Ivoirian is also keen to work with the new West Ham boss again.

Toure was paid £220,000 a week by City and would have to accept a pay cut at the London Stadium, but West Ham are confident of getting the deal done.

Under Pellegrini, Toure won the Premier League title with City in 2013-14 — scoring 20 goals that campaign — and collected two League Cups.

Toure made waves earlier this week when he claimed City manager Pep Guardiola does not like picking African players.
