The Los Blancos manager in a post match interview on the club's official website admitted he couldn’t have wished for a better way to mark one year at the helm.
"I don’t know if it's the best since I arrived, they were 45 very good minutes, good spells of football and with intensity.

"It is what we wanted and we prepared for it. We wanted to put a lot of intensity in at the beginning and score and it couldn't have gone any better. We must continue like this, we know that it's a long road and that after every game everything is questioned again." said Zidane
Zidane will now shift focus to the visit of Granada in a La Liga tie on Sunday before heading to Sevilla for the Copa del Rey round of 16 final leg clash next Thursday.
