Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane insisted that Champions League final is not just all about Cristiano Ronaldo and Mohamed Salah when Real Madrid battle Liverpool in the final later this month.

Real Madrid defeated Bayern Munich in the semi-finals of Champions League on 4-3 aggregate to get to the final and Liverpool defeated AS Roma in 7-6 aggregate.

The Champions finals will see Ronaldo and Salah come up close in Kiev with both players in scintillating form this season.

Zidane is of the view that NSC Olimpiyskiy Stadium is not just about the two free-scoring forward.

"I do not know if [Salah] will win the Ballon d’Or, but he has had a great season," said Zidane on Tuesday. "It's not going to be a Cristiano-Salah, but a Madrid-Liverpool.“

Zidane gave a brief of what he expected of Liverpool when they meet.

"[Liverpool] have a bit of everything," he added. "They are in the final and we know what they have: they are physical, technical, fast

"They are an English team that will fight and defend. But there is a lot left. Salah? A great player but he’s, not mine.

"It will be a spectacular game, open, with many chances. The most important thing for us will be to plan what to do in the game.

"We will analyse it in more detail because it is a final and there will be a lot of intensity."

Real Madrid has three La Liga fixtures against Sevilla, Celta Vigo and Villarreal to come before the Champions League showdown in Kiev on the 26th of May.
