Zidane words to Real players at first training session

Real Madrid stars resume training with Zinedine Zidane on Wednesday after the dismissal of Santiago Solari on Monday by the Los Blancos board.

Zidane spoke with the squad for the first time since his re-appointment as the team’s manager and he has assured them that "we start from zero”.

"Forget about the past," he said. "We start from zero, everyone, no matter what was the situation of each one of you.

"No matter anything we've done before. No one has won the job and nobody has lost it. These months that are left are going to teach us a lot…"

Since he left six new faces joined Los Blancos Thibaut Courtois, Vinicius Junior, Alvaro Odriozola and Brahim Diaz were all signed and two others are from Castilla - Sergio Reguilón and Fede Valverde.

The report according to Marca, Zidane sent a message to the group where he made it clear that they should try to end their disappointing season with dignity.

Zidane wants to recover the mood of the players as he begins to lay the foundations for next season, 2019/20, with a revolution of the squad expected in the summer.

Though some new signings are expected in the summer with Zidane keen on boosting the attack with some of European finest players.
