The recent Barcelona transfer activities have seen two enemies in the same team as both players took on the training pitch to settle their differences.
Jules Kounde was signed from Sevilla to join the Camp Nou outfit, the defender does not see eye to eye with Jodi Alba after the last season clash when Barcelona played Sevilla in December, that saw the Frenchman sent off after losing his temper and throwing the ball in the face of Alba.
During the Wednesday training attention was focused on the pair as the two defenders make it up to each other and Alba was seen throwing his arm around Kounde as the two took on the training pitch at the Ciutat Esportiva.
Kounde joined his teammates for the first time, Barcelona just arrived from their pre-season tour of the United States. The former Sevilla defender is expected to form a formidable backline with Gerard Pique or Ronald Araujo depending on the choice of Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez.
Barcelona is not done with their Pre-Season games yet as they take on Pumas UNAM on Sunday in the Joan Gamper Trophy at the Camp Nou before the La Liga kick-off against Rayo Vallecano on August 13.
Rayo Vallecano claimed six points from Barcelona last season and with the new look of the Camp Nou team following the arrivals of Franck Kessie, Andreas Christensen, Raphinha and Robert Lewandowski, and Kounde the result must differ from that of last season.
Real Madrid got an easy ride to the La Liga last season with Barcelona trying to adapt to life without Lionel Messi and the sack of Ronald Koeman marks the beginning of new era as Xavi was brought in to steady the sinking ship.
Since then a handful of players has been signed and this season Barcelona will fire all cylinders to ensure they give their rivals good competition both in La Liga and in Europe.
