Robert Lewandowski scored a brace in the 3-3 draw against Inter Milan in the Champions League on Wednesday to salvage a point for Barcelona at Camp Nou.

Barcelona broke the deadlock with just five minutes left to play in the first half following an assist from Sergi Roberto which found its way to Ousmane Dembele for an easy tap-in from close range to give Barcelona the lead in the first half.

Before the goal Raphina and Pedri wasted some decent scoring chances to would have given the home side the lead.

Edin Dzeko’s effort crashed against the crossbar and clear off the line by Barcelona’s defence, Robert Lewandowski was unlucky from a rebound in the box from an open play his effort was well read by Andre Onana.

Inter Milan crawled back into the game with Nicolo Barella equalising for the away team to make it 1-1 in the 50th minute.

Martinez doubled the lead for Inter Milan, the Argentine managed to put the ball into the net to make it 2-1.

Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez made double substitute Frenkie de Jong and Ansu Fati were introduced to replace Sergio Busquets and Raphinha in the 64th minute.

Inter Milan manager Simeone Inzaghi responded by throwing in Matteo Darmian to replace Federico Dimarco in the 67th minute.

Inter Milan was saved by the VAR with the referee right-judged Lewandowski offside with just 19 minutes left to play.

Alejandro Balde and Franck Kessie were brought in to replace Marcos Alonso and Sergi Roberto in the 72nd minute of the clash.

Hakan Calhanoglu and Dzeko were withdrawn for Robin Gosens and Raoul Bellanova in the 71st minute.

Lewandowski equalised for Barcelona to make it 2-2 with just eight minutes left, Inter Milan had a goal from  Gosens who latched on to a precise through ball from Lautaro Martinez before unleashing an unstoppable shot inside the right post from the edge of the area to give Inter Milan the maximum points against the Camp Nou outfit.

Lewandowski met a perfect cross from Eric Garcia, the Polish attacker jumped high and steered a bullet header from the centre of the box into the top left corner. His effort was both powerful and precise. Andre Onana had no chance of stopping it as the score line changed to 3-3.
