Former Bayern Munich player David Alaba has sent a warning to Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola ahead of the Champions League semi-finals.

Alaba was a player under Guardiola during their time at Bayern Munich before the gaffer left for Manchester City both the player and the coach has taken a different path and they are prepared to square off when both sides meet in the Champions League next week.

Alaba joined Real Madrid in a free transfer and he has been tremendous since his arrival, he perfectly fills the slot left by Real Madrid veteran Sergio Ramos in just his first season.

“We haven’t been in contact lately, but it will be lovely to see Pep again,” Alaba explained in an interview with Bild.

“We had a wonderful time together at Bayern. However, it’s all about frustrating him this time.”

Alaba and Guardiola enjoyed a trophy-laden at Bayern Munich, Manchester City and Real Madrid will go head to head for a slot in the finals of the Champions League.
