Ahmed Musa have sent Independence Day message to Nigerians after West African nation turn 62 on October 1st, 2022.

Nigeria’s formal Independence Day, celebrated on October 1st, commemorates the day in 1960 when the most populous African nation won its independence from Great Britain.

Musa also urged his countrymen to work for the welfare of the fatherland in a rendition of a section of the national anthem.

Super Eagles captain joining millions of Nigerians to celebrate the 62-year journey so far as a nation, we also pray for all-round positive transformations that will make ours a truly great country and the pride of all citizens.

Musa’s short, punchy statement reads via his social media handle: “Let’s all arise as compatriots and obey Nigeria’s call. Let’s serve our fatherland with love, strength and faith. Let’s work together as Professionals to get the Nigeria that we desire and deserve.”

Musa recently sustained a severe arm injury while on the field for his Turkish club Sivasspor as he misses Super Eagles 2-1 defeat to Algeria last Tuesday.

Former Kano star is the player with the most caps for Nigeria in history, underwent successful arm surgery and is currently recovering.
