Casemiro has not ruled out the possibility of making a reversal decision and Real Madrid is open to the deal as the club’s board will not stand in the way of the Brazilian midfielder on his choice.

Manchester United is prepared to pay Real Madrid an initial £50.7m for Casemiro with £8.5m in add-ons for the midfielder, on a four-year contract with the option of a further 12 months.

Real Madrid will rely on new signing Aurelien Tchoumeni for defensive cover if the former Sao Paulo decides against remaining with the current European Champions.
