Arsenal legend Ian Wright club record is set to be equaled by Nigerian descent Bukayo Saka when the Gunners battle West Ham in the Premier League on Sunday at London Stadium.

The 20-year-old former Super Eagles target has been in sensation for Mikel Arteta’s side after scoring 11 in the current season as the North London outfit pushing for Champions League football next campaign.

Saka has not missed his last two spot-kick despite his Euro 2020 penalty woe for England but the youngster stepped up at Stamford Bridge to send Edouard Mendy and David de Gea in Arsenal’s last back to back victory.

The Three Lions forward will be hoping for another penalty chance against West Ham but should Arsenal number seven covert the spot-kick at the London Stadium, he will become only the second Gunners player to score from 12 yards in three consecutive Premier League matches.

Wright who is the club’s second-highest scorer of all-time only player from the North London outfit has done so previously by finding the back of the net against Oldham Athletic, Ipswich Town, and Southampton in the 1993-94 season.

Saka is already the youngest-ever player to score penalties in back-to-back Premier League games and the Nigerian descent hopes to help Arteta’s men secure a vital away win.

Arsenal could be fifth in the log table when they start their clash with West Ham on Sunday afternoon if Tottenham Hotspur can beat Leicester City in the earlier kick-off.
