The hosts recorded their first home win of the season as Bayern have now failed to win their last four matches in the German top flight and may drop out of the top four after Sunday’s fixtures.
After the international break, Augsburg have a trip to Schalke on October 2, while Bayern host Bayer Leverkusen two days earlier on September 30.
