Cadiz ends Barcelona’s seven games winning streak with a 1-0 win at Camp Nou in their La Liga clash on Monday.

Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez’s unbeaten run in all competition came to an end following the defeat against the Yellow Submarine.

Barcelona had all it takes to take the lead against Cadiz in the opening 45 minutes but they fail to break down Cadiz’s wall of resistance in the first half despite having seven goal attempts.

Cadiz was a bit open in the second half, with Lucas Perez reacting quick to a loose ball and firing it to the back of the net, just three minutes into the second half.

Barcelona made a series of efforts in the attack with the likes of Ousmane Dembele, Luuk de Jong and Eric Garcia attempting on different occasions to bring the game to equal terms but Cadiz remained tactical focused on getting the three points away from Camp Nou.

Barcelona has now suffered a back to back at the Camp Nou defeat following the 3-2 defeat at Eintracht Frankfurt in the Europa League and the Liga defeat to Cadiz

Up next for Barcelona is the clash against Real Sociedad at San Sebastian while the Yellow Submarines will host Athletic Bilbao with both fixtures coming up on Thursday.
