Barcelona new signing Robert Lewandowski is yet to score a goal for his new club since his €45M switch to Camp Nou from Bayern Munich.

The Polish attacker has failed to score a goal in the first three matches under manager Xavi Hernandez having missed a couple of chances in front of goal, he failed to score against Real Madrid, Juventus and New York Red Bull.

The veteran attacker was unable to open his scoring account for Barcelona despite being presented with lots of chances against New York Red Bull.

Lewandowski had his teammates backing as they were directing all the ball in the final third to the former Bayern Munich forward for him to get his first goal for the club.

A lot of Lewandowski’s efforts went over the bar and a handful of those shots were saved by the goalkeeper, Ousmane Dembele continues his fine form after his brace against Juventus, the Frenchman scored the opener in the 40th minute.

Barcelona manager Xavi Hernandez replaced the Polish attacker after he has seen enough from the former Bayern Munich attacker with Memphis Depay in the 73rd minute and the Dutch international made use of the opportunity to find the back of the net to make it his second goal in their pre-season outing.

The ex-Manchester United forward scored in the 87th minute following a communication error by the goalkeeper and defender.

Lewandowski has been consistent for Bayern Munich for the past few seasons and he was signed to rival Real Madrid attacker Karim Benzema.
