Barcelona want-away star wants to leave Camp Nou under his terms following his free transfer to the club last season.
The La Liga giants are interested in getting rid of Memphis Depay with just a week to start the new season in Spain, following the arrival of Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha from Bayern Munich and Leicester City respectively.
However, according to a report from Mundo Deportivo, Depay wants to leave Barcelona on his term, a condition that Barcelona is not willing to grant.
Depay’s importance has reduced with the signing of more attacking options at the Camp Nou and the club has told him to get a new club for the next season, the player is aware of the situation and he is keen on moving on.
Depay joined Barcelona on a free transfer in 2021 from Lyon and he is willing to follow the same way out of the club, he knows that would increase his chances of getting a significant deal.
The former Manchester United attacker also wants to join a Champions League team and at this point, he is not settling for a team, not playing in the European elite competition.
Juventus is still in the market to find a replacement for Paulo Dybala who joined AS Roma from Juventus and the Bianconeri is among the club interested in his service and could get him on board this summer.
Barcelona is not willing to let the Dutchman leave for free and is holding for a fee of around €20 million for the services of the want-away footballer.
Juventus are among the clubs interested in the services of the former Lyon starlet. The Bianconeri are actively looking for a replacement for Paulo Dybala, with Depay fitting the bill perfectly due to his experience and pedigree at the highest level of football.
