Real Madrid attacker Karim Benzema is set to reach another height if the club win the European Super Cup against Eintracht Frankfurt on Wednesday evening.
The former Lyon attacker is tied with Los Blancos legend Raul Gonzalez as Real Madrid’s 2nd top scorer in history with 323 goals, if Benzema scores tonight he will surpass the goal tally of the ex-Real Madrid captain.
Another record in his sight is, a win in the UEFA Super cup, it will be Karim Benzema’s 23rd title with the club, making him the player with the joint 2nd most titles in Real Madrid history alongside Paco Gento. He will be behind only Marcelo (25).

Benzema joined Real Madrid in 2009 along with Cristiano Ronaldo and Gareth Bale with both plying their trade elsewhere and the French attacker is still waxing strong at Real Madrid, he is even tipped to win the Ballon D’or award having guided Los Mereguens to the La Liga and the Champions League last season, to add to his credit he won the highest goal scorer in the domestic scene and the Europe elite competition in the just concluded season.
