Fabio Carvalho nets an incredible last-gasp winner for Liverpool in the 98th minute as Liverpool comes from behind to beat Newcastle 2-1 in the Premier League encounter at Anfield.
Newcastle debutant Alexander Isak, playing just hours after receiving his work permit, had given his new team a first-half lead with a fine finish after he cut inside Trent Alexander-Arnold and Fabinho before lifting his effort high and wide of Alisson’s far post.
Isak had the ball in the net again early in the second half after good work on the counter-attack but was marginally offside.
But Roberto Firmino is to equalise in the second half after the Brazilian slotted from Mohamed Salah’s pass in the 61st minute.
Just a day after his 20th birthday substitute Carvalho gave Liverpool a dramatic 98th minute’s late win and seal a vital three points for Jurgen Klopp’s men at raucous Anfield after swiveled inside the box to hook a right-foot shot high above Nick Pope and in off the underside of the bar.
