The qualifiers have come to an end and the teams would be shared into groups for the 2022/23 Champions League draw tournament.

some teams will purposefully not be pitched against each other in the early stage of the tournament for this reason the teams are seeded into pots where we have pots 1-4.

The first pot included teams with a title, it could be the Champions League title, Europa League title or the league title (top six European leagues based on UEFA country coefficients) by that we have the following teams: Real Madrid ( Champions League winner and La Liga winner), Manchester City (Premier League winner), AC Milan ( Serie A winner), Bayern Munich (Bundesliga winner), Paris Saint-Germain (Ligue 1 winner), Ajax (Eredivisie winner) and Porto (Primera Liga winner).

The second pot consists of very strong sides such as Liverpool, Chelsea, Barcelona, Juventus, Atletico Madrid, Sevilla, RB Leipzig and Tottenham Hotspur.

The third pot can’t be considered as weak either, as it includes European powerhouses such as Borussia Dortmund, Napoli and Inter, as well as Benfica, RB Salzburg, Shakhtar Donetsk, Bayer Leverkusen and Sporting CP.

while the fourth pot consists of Club Brugge, Celtic, Maccabi Haifa, Viktoria Plzen, Marseille, Rangers, Copenhagen and Dinamo Zagreb. Most of these teams made it to the group stage through the qualifiers.

A team will be randomly picked from each pot to form a group so as to avoid a tough match from the early stage, so all the teams in the same pot do not play each other at the preliminary stage.
