Croatia 2-1 win against Denmark took the Blazers to the top of the table in their UEFA Nations League on Thursday evening
Croatia was held to a 0-0 draw in the first half by Denmark despite having advantageous ball possession in the opening half of the game.
The home team had five goal attempts and surprising none of those attempts troubled Denmark goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel.
Denmark had three goal attempts and recorded two shots on goal and one-off goal, the away team kept the Croatian defence line busy in the first half.
Croatia resumed the second half and the first shot on goal found its way into the back of the net via Borna Sosa from a rebound in the 49th minute of the clash.
Croatia was unable to hold on to the lead as Denmark made a stunning comeback in the 77th via Christian Eriksen as the midfielder launched a long-range shot to make it 1-1.
Croatia restored the lead and cut the celebration of the home Danish team shot following a crucial goal from Lovro Majer thanks to a great link-up play to make it 2-1.
